Fit Food Tasty Monthly Update #2 – 30th November 2020

Welcome to the second monthly update for Fit Food Tasty! And what a month it has been…

It’s actually been a month and a half, and we’ve been so busy with not only constructing an amazing kitchen but also working on all the fine details from menus and marketing to suppliers and said spinners we’ve always got a never ending to-do list!  No matter how far you come there’s always more progress and improvement to be made – and we are just getting started! 

When I was writing the first monthly update I hadn’t yet even collected the keys. The progress being made was close to zero, and thanks to our wonderful  solicitors the waiting game was feeling pretty intense. It seemed to take forever…

But on the 20th October we collected the keys, made our way to our big empty room, and began to plan the work to be done in the weeks ahead…

We then began getting things done. Every day, 7 days a week, progress is being made on all fronts. We were bringing people in to what was essentially a building site for Chef Interviews, and it went a lot better than expected! With the economic meltdown and lockdown restrictions it’s probably a good time to find a great team so we have that in our favour.

So where are we now?

Most if not all of the construction work is complete, and now it is mostly decorating and filling the place up with equipment. We already have our main cooking equipment and most our bigger pieces of kit. And there’s a humungous list of smaller items being ordered as I write this. Who we can now the fun can begin with our amazing dishes and recipes, which is coming together very nicely and we cannot wait to let you all enjoy them. 

We are putting a lot of effort into providing a truly great and valuable product. It’s not just about the recipes it’s also about the quality of the ingredients, the talent of the chefs, the type and quality of the packaging, the speed of delivery, the customer experience, and so much more. 

So along with constantly working on improving the quality of the products and services we offer, we also need to make sure everyone knows about it. You can have the greatest product in the world, but if nobody knows it exists, it’s not going to perform very well on the market, is it? So we are also spending a lot of time on our marketing plan, which is heavily online and social media oriented, however we will also go big on distributing physical fliers, leaflets and menus. Maybe we’ll even hand out a load of T-shirts and merchandise, we’ll see..

So all in all, the building & constructing of the kitchen is almost complete and it’s now time to optimise our product, market our brand, and launch our business.
